Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) is a scientifically proven technology with demonstrable results. It works by transforming RF energy into heat deep within the target zones, maximizing the coagulation of fatty tissue and contracting strands of collagen connecting the different layers of skin and tissue.
Once the treatment is complete, results can be seen immediately, although optimal results are usually seen within 3–6 months after the treatment. BodyTite is an ideal procedure for anyone who is concerned about excess body fat that is not responding to diet and exercise and who is seeking a nonsurgical procedure that requires less downtime than surgery or liposuction and does not leave behind unsightly scars. BodyTite is appropriate for use on almost any area of the body except the face and neck (which can, however, be treated with the same technology using InMode’s FaceTite), but is most commonly used on:

While not designed for treating cellulite, BodyTite can provide some improvements in areas affected by it. Cellulite is not caused by fat but by fibrous bands beneath the skin. Cellulite-specific treatments will target these bands. Still, the tightening effect of this procedure can reduce the visibility of cellulite by creating a more even skin contour.
While the treatment does target fat, it is not suitable as a weight-loss treatment. It works best for patients near their ideal body weight who want to further enhance their contours. It is excellent for patients who are struggling with those few final pounds of stubborn fat that is resistant to diet and exercise.
Another advantage of the procedure is that you can repeat it safely. With full surgery, patients should try to avoid having repeat procedures to minimize the strain on their bodies. BodyTite provides a milder experience, allowing for repeat visits. However, we recommend patients wait at least 12 months before having another session.
Dr. Brent’s approach to BodyTite maximizes patient safety in an already safe procedure. Since it only requires local anesthetic, you avoid the strain of general anesthesia. Additionally, the incisions are very minimal. Some mild discomfort afterward is normal, but otherwise, side effects are mild and resolve within a matter of days.

How Does the Procedure Work?

During the procedure, a thin cannula is used, which is about the size of an 18-gauge needle (a fraction of a centimeter). This cannula is inserted through the skin while an external electrode is placed on the surface of the skin. An electrical current passing through the internal cannula and the external electrode creates a contained and uniform thermal field at the target site while maintaining an optimal temperature gradient on both ends for maximum safety and effectiveness.

This powerful heating action tightens loose skin and reduces pockets of fat cells, helping to sculpt the body into a naturally beautiful shape and minimizing the appearance of wrinkling and sagging. Each treatment area requires about 15 minutes. We use local numbing to ensure that patients experience no discomfort throughout the entire process.
